On September 24th, the Pittsburgh Steelers played the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Tampa Bay, Florida. The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a score of 30 – 27.

  In the first quarter, Joe Haden and Chris Godwin were neck and neck. But, at Ryan Fitzpatrick’s third down passing attempt,  Justin Evans sprang out of nowhere and intercepted the ball from Ben Roethlisberger, where the Bucs started at the 47-yard line. Cameron Brate threw a 4-yard touchdown, making the score 7-0 Buccaneers.

  In an interview, Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Joe Haden said, “We haven’t started the season [anywhere] like we expected to, but we just wanted to start getting our first win.”

  In the second quarter, Chris Boswell kicked a 36-yard field goal, making the score 9-7 Steelers. Afterward, Godwin got the ball, but he fumbled it and allowed the Steelers to recover it. Antonio Brown avoided some Tampa Bay defenders and ran to the end zone, making another touchdown for the Steelers. Fitzpatrick threw the ball, but intercept by Mike Hilton, then Fitzpatrick was intercepted a third time by Bud Dupree, making the score 23-7 Steelers.

  “One reason that the Steelers won the game was by turnovers. They performed which they did during the whole game. They also played very well but without the turnovers they wouldn’t have won.” Matthew Ponce De Leon (11)

  In an interview, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston said, “When everything happened in the offseason and it became that I was going to start the first three games, that’s where all my focus went, into these first three games. I just wanted to do whatever I could possibly do to get this team to 3-0 and we’re sitting here right now at 2-0 with a chance at it. ”

  In the third and fourth quarter, Roethlisberger fumbled the ball, but the ball was recovered by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Chandler Catanzaro made a 28-yard field goal, where Fitzpatrick threw to Mike Evans with an incredible touchdown making the score 30-27, Steelers won.
