On Tuesday, January 19th, Robert Kraft, the CEO of the New England Patriots, made an evening appearance at the Orchids of Asia Day spa in Jupiter, Florida. Kraft was caught on videotape receiving oral and manual sex from a female spa employee. Officials voiced that Kraft paid the woman $100 and another unknown bill before leaving.

On Monday, February 25th, the 77 year-old was officially charged with two misdemeanor counts of first-degree solicitation. If Kraft is convicted, he could face consequences such as one year in prison, a $5,000 fine, 100 hours of community service, and required human trafficking dangers class.

Robert Kraft’s spokesperson stated, “We categorically deny that Mr. Kraft engaged in any illegal activity. Because it is a judicial matter, we will not be commenting further.”

The Orchids of Asia Day spa was known for its tie to an international human trafficking ring for sexual services. It is one of the ten other spas that were also shut down this month. There have been more than two dozen arrests of men and hundreds of charges, ranging from 30 year olds to one that is 80 years old.

Grace Zambriski (12), an avid football fan, said, “Honestly I think that even though it took something awful to happen, the fact that so many spas were closed and the human trafficking was found then maybe it was a blessing in disguise.”

Out of the many men involved in this prostitution case, Kraft’s involvement stands out. His team has won six out of the ten times they have played at the Super Bowl. Kraft is also apart of NFL’s small fraternity of billionaire owners and a committee member who help set Chairman of NFl Roger Goodell’s salary. Kraft’s status has given him the title of one of the most powerful owners in American sports.

Michael Toth (11), who keeps up with football news, said, “I was pretty surprised that a person of his standing would do something like that, Kraft being someone who has donated a lot to various causes.”

A court date has been arranged to be on April 24th. Robert Kraft is not required to appear in court due to his “low level” arrest warrant. He has hired Jack Goldberger from firm Atterbury, Goldberger & Weiss to represent him in the process.
