On Wednesday February 21st and Thursday the 22nd, the dance teams from North, South, and West High performed at the Armstrong Theatre for their annual Joint Show. Intermediate Dance from West performed their dance “Sorry Not Sorry,” and Advanced Dance performed multiple pieces.

Benjia Zhang (9), an intermediate dancer here at West, thought that the dances still needed improvement. Zhang said, “Our school still did a very awesome job, but we still have room for improvement. I think technique was the biggest factor.” Zhang clarified that more rehearsals would have helped to perfect the dances more, as some of the dances performed by the Advanced Dance team were learned recently. Zhang also added, “South was very sharp on their technique, and North was very good at creation.”

Jasmine Forbes (10), who went to the show on Wednesday, enjoyed the performances. She said, “I loved seeing so many different styles of dance in one night.”

West High Dance will be performing again at Armstrong Theatre in May, so be sure to go out and support them.
