Canadian rapper and entrepreneur Drake spends precisely $996,631.90  in his new music video for his newest drop, “God’s Plan,” which was released on January 20 of this year. He also happens to give it all away to people and organizations around Miami, helping those who are less fortunate.

Andrea Fernandez (10), who is a big fan of Drake, said, “I was anticipating this video ever since Drake posted the picture on Instagram and even though it did get my expectations very high it definitely delivered. The music video was pretty amazing.”

First, he donated $25,000  to Miami Senior High School. Then he gave $50,000 to 31-year old Miami University student Destiny James. She explained that she was not able to afford tuition and that she relies many scholarships just to attend.

Next, rake pulled up to the Sabor Tropical Supermarket where he announced that he would buy the groceries of everyone who was currently shopping there.

Morgan Miller (11), whose his aunt was in the supermarket when Drake pulled up, said, “She texted me saying ‘oh my god you have no idea what just happened that rapper that you like just bought my groceries,’ and I just started freaking out.”

He then moved on to the Lotus House of Miami, a homeless shelter for women and children, where he not only donated $50,000 but also gave them an assortment of gifts for the children and Target gift cards to the adults.

He also gave 63-year old Odelie Parret, a mother of five with big financial needs, a spa day as well as a trip to the mall where she could buy anything she wanted. Drake ended up spending about $10,000 dollars on  Perret.

Sara Amintinat (9), who has family in Miami, stated, “[My family] lives around the Miami Senior High School whom my uncle is an alumni of, they said it was crazy how many people gathered around and the filming equipment was very elaborate. They could see the platform where he was standing from their house.”

The music video has currently 89 million views on YouTube as well as more than 300 million hits on Spotify.
