After just one weekend in the theaters, the film has grossed a whopping $92 million nation. With a variety of viewers from diehard fans to families on their night out, theaters were packed throughout the weekend. Sony Executive, Rory Bruer, commented on the movie’s success by saying, “It’s a terrific start here in the U.S. and the world result is no less than stunning.” Towards the end, the film left a suspense in the air for what is yet to come in the third movie. Lindsay Senechal (11) stated, “The way the director and producers produced a film that was close to exact to the comic book was awesome. It was well done and it didn’t seem as though you were sitting there for two hours.” In just a few weeks for Marvel, there will be another superhero release, X-Men: Days of Future Past. But until then, if you enjoy sci-fi action movies, The Amazing Spider-Man: Rise of Electro will not fail to impress.
