The West High Girls Varsity Volleyball team lost their games against Redondo on October 8, by 12 to 25 and 21 to 25. Captain Katie Colin (12) felt that her team could have easily defeated its opponents, but could not do so because the team spent too much time catching up. Colin also remarks that the team was “inconsistent, and [the] defense and passing were not exactly right.”
Despite the loss, the team is working hard to improve. They practice for two to three hours every day serving, passing, hitting, and scrimmaging. Although the losses have frustrated the team, the players remain determined to win the upcoming matches.
